About Joya Mia
Joya Mia grew up in Littleton, Colorado, then got the h-e-double-hockey-sticks outta there upon graduating high school. She studied theater and writing at Sarah Lawrence College, but also took a bunch of classes for funzies, later realizing they would do nothing to pay back the exorbitant loans needed to attend said college (Lookin’ at you, "Images of India: Text, Photo, and Film"...). She studied Commedia dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy, and later lived in peanut shells across New York City, performing with her sketch team, STuFF. She relocated to LA to star as John Connor in Terminator Too: Judgement Play, and she currently plays Tyler in Point Break Live and Meg Ryan in Tom Gun Live.
Joya hosted a short-form news show on The LipTV, and co-created/hosted Oh, That’s a Thing! – a podcast about the real “stuff” in your favorite sci-fi movies.
In short, Joya’s a real smarty-pants who can DANCE.
